Automatic Driving Lessons — common questions
- Mechanically yes — there's no clutch to time. But the road skills (mirror discipline, hazard awareness, give-way rules) are identical and take the same effort to learn.
- Yes — an auto-only licence has an ‘A’ restriction. If you later want to drive manual you'll need to take a manual practical test and have the restriction removed.
- Most learners are test-ready in 8–10 hours of professional lessons (on top of the required logbook hours).
